Kaettekita Mario Bros.

Kaettekita Mario Bros. - Nintendo NES

Kaette Kita Mario Bros. is an upgraded Famicom Disk System version of the first NES port of the arcade game Mario Bros. There are four modes. Original Mario Bros. is the classic game, upgraded to more resemble the original arcade version. You can now also change direction in midair, and new levels were added, as well as the ability to save your score. Between levels are cutscenes and advertisements for Japanese food company Nagatanien (the game's sponsor), Super Mario Bros. cereal, and even other Mario games, including Super Mario Bros. 3, released shortly before, essentially making this an advergame. The second mode, Nagatanien World, is similar, but once per game, after a game over, you may play a slot machine minigame. Depending on the number of matches, you can gain more lives and continue with your score and phase counters intact. When you reach 100,000 points, you get a get to enter a drawing to win Mario playing cards, and at 200,000 points, another code for a chance to win a copy of Super Mario Bros. 3. The third mode, Name Registration, allows both players to register their name, age, and gender for use when a high score is broken and for honorifics. The fourth mode, Notices, has a Shellcreeper explain the promotional features of Nagatanien World. The game was a promotional release, and was only available through the Disk Writer.

Mario is a video game character who has become Nintendo's mascot, easily recognizable by his mustache, his overalls, his white gloves and his red cap marked with an M in a white circle. Born from the imagination of game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, he is Italian-American; he appeared for the first time in 1981, in the game Donkey Kong, under the name of Jumpman, but since 1985 it is the hit series of Super Mario that has made him a global phenomenon and one of the emblematic characters of the video game. Since then, Mario has accompanied all the consoles of Nintendo. The games of the Super Mario series have played an important role in the evolution of the platform game, which they regularly renew the codes. Several episodes have marked the video game, including the first game, Super Mario Bros. (NES, 1985), which for over twenty-three years has been the best-selling game, with more than 40 million cartridges sold (dethroned by Wii Sports in 2008), or its first appearance in 3D, Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64 , 1996). Over the years, Mario's character has appeared in other types of games, such as the racing game (Mario Kart), the fighting game (Super Smash Bros.), or the role play (Super Mario RPG).
